Terms of Service
The agreement between you and HeroComic AI. Written to be read — if something here is unclear, ask before you pay.

1. Who you are agreeing with
This service is operated by Kiran M, a sole proprietor based in India(“we”). By creating an account you accept these terms, the Acceptable Use Policy and the Privacy Policy. You must be 18 or over.
2. What the service does
You upload a photograph, choose a story, and the service generates comic pages in which the person in the photograph appears as the main character. Pages are produced by a third-party AI image model.
Generated artwork is inherently unpredictable. We do not promise a particular likeness, quality or outcome, and a page you dislike is still a page that was generated.
3. Your account and your photographs
You are responsible for what is uploaded from your account. Before each upload you confirm that the photograph is of you, or of an adult who has given you permission — the Acceptable Use Policy sets out what that means and what is prohibited. Breaching it can end your account.
4. Plans, credits and what a page costs
- Pages are paid for in credits. One page costs 50 credits.
- Free — 50 credits, once per account. Pages are watermarked, reduced in size, and cannot be downloaded.
- Pro — 1,500 credits a month. Max — 5,000 credits a month, two faces and your own story.
- Up to 10% of a month’s unused credits carry into the next month. The rest expire.
- Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred or exchanged for money.
Credits are reserved before a page is drawn. If generation fails, the credit is returned automatically. If a page is refused by the model’s safety filters, that is a failure for this purpose — you are not charged for it.
5. Payment, renewal and cancellation
Payments are handled by Dodo Payments, who act as merchant of record. Your contract for the transaction is with them, and their terms apply to the payment itself.
Subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. We do not remove credits already granted when you cancel or downgrade.
6. Refunds
Because generation costs us real money the moment you press the button, credits already spent are not refundable. If the service failed — pages that never arrived, or credits taken for pages you did not receive — email iterate.startup@gmail.com and we will put it right.
An account closed for breaching the Acceptable Use Policy is not refunded.
7. Who owns the comics
You own the comics you generate, and may use them personally or commercially, subject to these terms and to your having the rights to the photograph you used.
We claim no ownership over your photographs or your finished comics, and we do not use either to train models or as promotional material without asking you first.
Free-tier pages carry a watermark. Removing or obscuring it, rather than upgrading, is a breach of these terms.
8. How long we keep things
Uploaded photographs are deleted within 48 hours. Comics are deleted 7 days after they are made, or 24 hours after they are downloaded — whichever comes first.
Download anything you want to keep. We are not a storage service, and we are not liable for a comic that was deleted on schedule.
9. Availability and liability
The service is provided as-is. We do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted, and it depends on third parties — the image model, our host, our storage — whose outages are outside our control.
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to what you have paid us in the three months before the claim. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
10. Ending the agreement
You may close your account at any time by emailing iterate.startup@gmail.com. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, and will say why unless the law prevents us.
11. Changes and governing law
If these terms change materially the date at the top changes with them, and continuing to use the service means accepting the new version. These terms are governed by the laws of India.
